Saturday October 3rd, 9 am – 7 pm, and Sunday October 4th, 9 am – 6 pm
This is a two-day convening. Session times and full lineup will be announced in mid-September!
Location
Philadelphia, PA
Camp will mostly take place at the Folk Arts Cultural Treasures Charter School (FACTS) at 1023 Callowhill Street, an ADA accessible facility. Sunday’s program will also take place at a very special outdoor location, to be announced shortly!
Meals, Care, and Access
- Meals and refreshments are provided both days
- Childcare is offered Saturday 8:30 am–6 pm and Sunday 9 am–6 pm — add names and ages on the registration form
- Tell us about accessibility needs and dietary preferences when you register
- Camp is free. Materials are provided
Who is Camp for?
People’s Media Camp is for anyone who is part of, or wants to learn more about, Greater Philadelphia’s community media and grassroots memory ecosystem, including:
- Community media makers
- Archivists and preservationists
- Artists, filmmakers, photographers, storytellers
- Community organizers and leaders
- Journalists
- Students and educators
- Cultural workers
- Community members whose stories and histories are being preserved or represented
- Anyone interested in how communities document, preserve and tell their own stories
